Fly Fishing

In a fully-equipped lakeside fishing cabin, you'll be taught all about the fishing tackle, the flies used, what, when and how to fish them, how to read the water and how to cast a fly.

Then after a lunch break put all the coaching into practise and fly fish for trout from the banks of world famous and award-winning Rutland Water on a motor boat. If you catch a fine trout, it will even be prepared and packed for you to take home and show friends and family. You may take up to a maximum of two fish home.

Rutland Water has around 26 miles of shoreline, covering 3,500 acres and is Europe's biggest and premier trout fishing lake; the trout are not too easy to catch but the quality of the fish is world-class. Light refreshments and a certificate are all included.
