We all know it’s much nicer to receive a handmade card, whether it be a Christmas, birthday, Easter or (especially) a valentines card.

This experience will be great fun, as you and a friend join a small group of like-minded craft enthusiasts to learn from an expert tutor.

New techniques, innovative ideas and practical examples will give you the knowledge and confidence to amaze your friends and family with the greetings cards they receive in the future. Not only that, but a cream tea is thrown in for good measure!

Your instructor will meet you at the beach, and will help to outfit you and your guest (or just you) with a wetsuit and surfboard that suits your abilities. True beginners will start on the sand – learning the basics of how to surf before taking it out to the waves. Your instructor will assist at all times, giving tips, offering advice and keeping you encouraged until you finally get the hang of it.

When you arrive you’ll be briefed on safety and how to handle your land yacht. Initially you will sail at a low speed so you can get the hang of steering and stopping your yacht, and then your instructor will let you take a few turns on the figure-eight course. If you show an aptitude of handling you may be permitted to take the yacht out for a gybe turn – an advanced manoeuvre. Each time you handle the yacht you will be able to increase the speeds you reach, making this a fun and exhilarating experience.

When you arrive you’ll need to sign an indemnity form (parental signature required for over 18) and then you’ll be given a helmet for protection and be introduced to the flag and light signal system for safety. Next you’ll be assigned to a cart and can pull out onto the track. Bring some friends and see just who  has the ‘cahones’ to go the fastest – or challenge yourself to go as fast as you dare.

When you arrive at your chosen Champney’s Health Resort you will be personally greeted, offered a refreshing glass of fresh juice, and given an introduction to the facilities. Then you will be given a luxury facial, manicure or pedicure, as well as a body radiance exfoliation treatment and finally, a thalassotherapy pool session. Walk down the player’s tunnel, and visit the pitch side during this fun and interactive tour. You’ll even get to sit in your player’s seat, and learn lots of fun info about the Man City team.
