We're a seafaring nation and fishing is one of our favourite pastimes. According to the Environment Agency, around one in five of us has experienced the thrills of angling in the past decade. 

Embarking on Gift Experience Day's Full Day's Sea Fishing from Penarth, Wales gives you the opportunity to discover why. You can try your hand at catching some cod, bass, rays, congers and even smoothhounds. These hounds are members of the shark family, they grow pretty big and hunting them in the glorious waters of the Bristol Channel could be addictive. 

You'll gain invaluable fishing tips from the experts during your six hour fishing trip and will be able to take home everything you catch. Nothing tastes as good as freshly caught fish and your catch will be eligible for the on board competition. 

Photos will be taken to record the experience but just as good are the anecdotes, of the ones you landed and the ones that got away! You'll just have to book another sea fishing adventure soon!
